Why is it Important to Stay Hydrated?

Teach your children the importance of drinking water. It will create a lifelong habit that will increase their health.
The 70% of the human body is composed by liquids. They are important for the proper functioning of the human body. Also, you need to know that the chances of dying by lack of water are incredibly high. When you’re dehydrated, your cells stop working correctly, because there’s no enough water for them to do their natural process. It not only causes problems in cells, but also some physiological functions, like toxin elimination, can stop being efficient, causing some damage to your organs. That’s why I’ve pulled a list with the reason of the importance of staying hydrated:

  • It combats fatigue: When you are hydrated, there’s less chance of feeling fatigue. When your whole body has the right amount of liquid to work correctly, you usually have more energy, and a better mood.
  • It helps with digestion: The digestive process works with 90 litres of liquid. This helps with the functioning of the body.
  • It reduces cardiovascular risks: Anxiety and stress are silent killers. That’s why, you need to drink enough water, because it helps to reduce the production of cholesterol and increase the blood flow.
  • It increases toxin elimination: Your body requires water to filter the toxins. Keeping yourself hydrated speeds up this process, making it more efficient.

What you can do to stay hydrated

  • Carry a bottle of water: My recommendation is to use a big bottle of water, that’s how you can be hydrated when you’re not at home.
  • Drink water when you’re hungry: Most of the time, our body sends signs of what it needs. If you feel a tad hungry, drink a glass of water, it can often solve the anxiety.
  • Drink juice: Also, you can drink juice. It not only is refreshing but also it’s healthy.

Now that you know why it’s important to stay hydrated, put it into practice. Furthermore, you can apply these steps on your children. Infusions, sorbets and even fruit like watermelon work great as ways to hydrate without having to recur to plain water. Remember to keep your child healthy by following these steps, and also, healthy by practicing some sports with  Autism Soccer. I’m sure that your kid will be happy!
People can chose different alternatives to stay hydrated, but plain water is the best.
